RNLI Donation

Our last eBulletin was just before Christmas and we agreed to make a donation for each person who registered. We are delighted to say that we had an excellent response and we rounded the donation up to £250. Many thanks if you took part.

CONFERENCES & EXHIBITIONS
	Ergonomics Society Conference : April 22-23, 2009 As always, we shall be attending the Ergonomics Society Conference and this year is a very special event because it's the 60th Anniversary of the Society. 	Safety & Health Expo : May 12-14, 2009 As outlined in our last eBulletin, we decided last year not to exhibit at the NEC in May 2009. Although it has grown and grown, the Safety & Health Expo has become very much an industrial event and the number of specialist exhibitors in our field has diminished each year. Although we are not exhibiting, we shall have someone at the event each day: Tuesday 12th May: Guy Osmond & Martin Trowse Wednesday 13th May: Dave Ryan Thursday 14th May: Stuart Entwistle To meet up with any of us at the event, please call your regular contact or just phone 07967 385170 when you get there (this number will be directed to whoever is there on the day).

SAP Business One

As mentioned in the last eBulletin, the installation of this software represents a significant investment for us and we are confident it will improve the business in many ways once it has been fully implemented on June 1, 2009. We have already started training with further modules during April and May.
Please note that the whole business will be closed for one day on Tuesday April 21, 2009 so that everyone can take part in a single training session.

Improving Productivity - Return on Investment in Ergonomics

At a time when businesses are reducing personnel numbers to a minimum, it is essential to maximise productivity. Ergonomics interventions can significantly improve performance and we have started to amass a range of research to support this idea as well as business models to demonstrate how quickly such interventions pay for themselves (ROI).

Having started the year in currency turmoil, nearly all of our suppliers increased their prices. 3M was one of the few suppliers who did not. However, they have now announced increases which will take effect from July 1, 2009. For a video demonstration of how their Privacy Screen Filters work, please click on the 3M logo.


	Disability Assessors Required The demand for our services in identifying the ergonomics needs of disabled workers and undergraduates continues to grow and we are still looking for good sub-contractors to assist in a number of areas of the UK. Training will be provided. Since our last eBulletin in December, we have identified some possible partners and have started a pilot scheme with one assessor to finalise our procedures. With the recent completion of our new warehouse extension (see December 2008 eBulletin), we have identified stock that needs to be cleared. Some has already gone but we have plenty more to sell off before our year end in June so keep an eye on our eBay shop for the next few weeks. 	Free Draw - Win an ERG Registration Number! As you may know, we own several "ERGonomics" registration numbers for our vehicles (D2 ERG, K2 ERG, M2 ERG, etc.). With the exception of one plate, they are all "2 ERG" so we have decided to give away the odd one out: N3 ERG. The registration number will come on a Retention Certificate with all transfer costs paid. We will even "throw in" a pair of brand new number plates! Transferring the number to your own vehicle is a simple process. (The DVLA is currently selling similar numbers for £390-£490!)
